THE DESIGN
CHARACTER COUNTS! is an ethical
program designed for the purpose of bringing together into a public setting
a common ethical language? It touches children, the home, the community, and
city at large. It creates a moral awareness in the development of character,
producing a community sensitive to transcendent values. This ethical ideal
is based on qualities, highly regarded in all communities of the world, from
the past to the present, and is the foundation upon which a credible
democracy is based.
The ethical values used
in the CHARACTER COUNTS! program are trustworthiness, respect,
responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship.
DEVELOPING
TRAITS OF INTEGRITY
Through this basic ethics program it is our
pleasure to train whole schools demonstrating for them how to develop traits
of integrity and civic virtue in youth at home and in the local school
system. We believe more than ever we need to place moral tools in the lives
of children that will help them know right from wrong!
CREATING AN
ADMIRATION IN THE CHILD FOR QUALITY OF CHARACTER
We wish to create an admiration for quality
of character that assures the young there is a right choice in a moral
dilemma. That personal responsibility is admirable. That behaviors have
consequences. That family can give a virtuous foundation that forms strong
conviction and conscience. That good character does give a sense of well
being to each child as it takes its place in its world.
LEARNING
THE LESSON OF HISTORY
We wish to encourage people to learn the
lesson of history: that no nation can surpass its moral strength.
IMPLANTING
VIRTUES IN OUR CLASSROOMS
We see this effort contributing a purposeful
moral strategy which is implanting virtues in our schools, communities,
national society, and international family of nations. We have seen that
teaching invariable moral truths, which are consistent, concrete, and
culturally creative, do this.
SAFE AND
DRUG-FREE SCHOOLS
These virtues produce safe and drug-free
schools. Children, homes, and neighborhoods are brought to an understanding
of compassion, loyalty to character values, and respect for the ethnic
differences in people living on this planet.
AN ARENA OF
LEARNING
Principals and parents sing its praises!
Teachers repeatedly affirm how their classroom has become an arena of
learning, discipline, and ethical accomplishment. It is with a great deal of
satisfaction that I visit the schools where whole faculties have been
trained and where character is endorsed school-wide.
Won’t you join this
growing moral force in our schools and communities? It is much cheaper to
ethically teach a whole child than to repair a broken one! Please enquire!
We have pledged to help you in every way we can.
